President Volodymyr Zelensky, during a press conference with his Lithuanian counterpart Gitanas Nauseda in Vilnius, stated that Western allies are not pressuring Ukraine to “freeze” the conflict and cease defense.
“There is no pressure from partners to stop our defense… There are different voices, and there are different discussions in the media, I’ve heard and read them. I think partners are not yet ready to give us corresponding signals officially. At least, I haven’t heard them yet,” said the head of state.
Zelensky added that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is not ready to stop short of the goal of fully occupying Ukraine, and the uncertainty and indecision of Western allies regarding assistance to Ukraine only bolster his confidence.
“The Russian president will not be appeased. After Ukraine, you know who the next risks are for. Lithuania, Latvia, Moldova, Estonia could be next if we don’t hold on. He won’t stop until we all together stop him,” concluded Zelensky.
