President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that Ukraine has commenced its own production of artillery systems. He made this announcement at the International Defense Industry Forum.
According to him, Ukraine has started manufacturing cannons and shells of NATO standard with a caliber of 155mm. “We are interested in localizing the production of technology and advanced defense systems that are producing results on the frontlines today,” said Zelensky.
He mentioned that Kyiv is negotiating with partners for joint weapon production.
Earlier, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Oleksiy Danilov, stated that Ukraine’s military-industrial complex is working at full capacity.”
