The development of military technology constantly and dynamically changes the nature of war, and for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to succeed, they need to act in accordance with these changes, stated the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhny, during a briefing.
Zaluzhny reminded that he had previously mentioned how rapidly the nature of war is evolving, and the advancement of technology “inevitably leads to a change in the tactics of its application.”
“War in 2024 cannot just differ from the war in 2023; it must necessarily differ, otherwise we will face what I wrote about in my article,” said the Chief.
According to him, the command has already identified issues caused by these changes, and they have managed to solve 90% of them.
This approach will enable the Ukrainian Armed Forces to “act more effectively and, most importantly, preserve lives,” he added.
The Chief assured that these issues were discussed with Ukraine’s allies, and based on these discussions, there is no doubt that in 2024, the war will indeed look completely different from 2023.
Zaluzhny also took the opportunity to thank the Ministry of Defense, emphasizing their maximum support for the proposals of the General Staff regarding improvements and changes in the army and its supply.
