What is known about the new military assistance package from Germany?
The new military package includes:
Four 8×8 HX81 trucks and trailers;
Three vehicles (trucks, minibuses, all-terrain vehicles);
Two cars for border patrol;
Five drone detection systems;
3,840 artillery projectiles;
25 laser rangefinders;
15 HLR 338 sniper rifles and 60 thousand rounds for them.
What is known about other military assistance from Germany to Ukraine?
According to the Deutsche Welle publication, another group of Ukrainian military personnel underwent training in Germany on the operation of the Patriot air defense missile system.
According to the commander of the multinational training command, Lieutenant General Andreas Marlov, the training involved 70 Ukrainian soldiers and officers.
The training course lasted for 6 weeks and took place at one of the German Armed Forces bases.
Marlov stated that the personnel reached a level of competence that allows Ukrainians to independently operate this air defense missile system and carry out combat tasks.
As noted by the publication, experienced Ukrainian officers participated in the training, many of whom had years of service in air defense forces. Many of the military personnel had experience working with Soviet S-300 systems.
