President Volodymyr Zelensky, following the meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Vilnius, announced that Berlin will transfer additional Patriot launchers and missiles to Ukraine. At the same time, the Ministry of Defense of Norway has approved the transfer of 1000 Black Hornet nanodrones for reconnaissance to Ukraine.
“There is an agreement on additional Patriot launchers and missiles from Germany. This is crucial for protecting lives in Ukraine from Russian aggression!” – wrote the president on social media.
Zelensky thanked Germany for its readiness to provide long-term and multi-year support to Ukraine in the war against Russia.
Following a conversation with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Zelensky announced that Ottawa will strengthen the Ukrainian army with armored vehicles.
In addition, the Norwegian Ministry of Defense has announced the transfer of an additional 1000 Black Hornet drones to Ukraine for reconnaissance purposes.
UPDATED at 12:30. Following negotiations between Zelensky and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Canberra has decided to transfer 30 Bushmaster armored transport vehicles.
