Russia is storming Bahmut and has established a military base on the protected island of Dzharylgach – General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The occupiers, as before, are concentrating their main efforts on the Lyman, Bahmut, Avdiivka, and Mariupol directions, where 70 armed clashes occurred within a day. This was reported in the evening summary by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The General Staff notes that the fiercest battles are currently taking place near Bahmut and Mariinka.

On the Bahmut direction, the Russian army continues its offensive actions, heavy fighting is raging for Bahmut. The enemy also conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the direction of Ivanivka and Bila Hora.

During the past 24 hours, the enemy launched six missile strikes and 51 airstrikes, along with over 30 shelling incidents with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). Civilian infrastructure has been destroyed. There are casualties and injuries among civilians in Kryvyi Rih of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Stepnohirsk of Zaporizhia Oblast, and Berislav of Kherson Oblast.

The General Staff warns that there remains a high probability of Russia carrying out missile and air strikes across the entire territory of Ukraine.

The Russians have constructed a sand embankment that connected the island of Dzharylgach (located near the coast opposite the temporarily occupied Skadovsk – Ed.) to the mainland. A military training ground has been established on the island, which has the status of a natural park.

The Defense Forces’ aviation conducted 12 strikes on personnel and military equipment concentration areas and four strikes on enemy air defense systems. Missile launchers and artillery targeted a command post, six armament and military equipment concentration areas, two artillery units in firing positions, and six electronic warfare stations.
