French President Emmanuel Macron has announced that his country will provide Ukraine with new missiles with a range that ‘enables resistance.’ He made this statement in an interview with TF1 Info channel.
According to him, France will provide Ukraine with additional military assistance, including armored vehicles, wheeled tanks AMX-10, and ammunition.
“We will deliver additional ammunition and missiles, the range of which will enable Ukraine to resist and lead a counteroffensive,” said Macron.
He emphasized that it’s not about the weaponry that could ‘reach Russia’.
The French leader stated that the success of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ offensive is necessary to ensure a ‘strong and just peace’.
Macron refused to name the type of new missiles that Paris will provide to Ukraine.
On May 11, 2023, the CNN channel reported that Britain had delivered long-range Storm Shadow missiles to Ukraine. On the same day, the British Defense Minister Ben Wallace confirmed that his country was indeed transferring Storm Shadow missiles to Ukraine.
Earlier, President Zelensky stated that Ukraine needed more time for the offensive in order to acquire more weapons from allies.
