The Russians are building fortifications around Dzhankoy in temporarily occupied Crimea, involving alcoholics and drug addicts in the work. This was reported in the summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The military claims that occupiers are involving local residents in the construction of fortifications in the settlements of the Dzhankoy district.
Engineering robots are handled by men, most of whom are drug addicts and alcoholics.
The occupiers promise workers money, but people either don’t receive it or don’t receive it in full.
Cases are recorded where deceived residents refuse to continue cooperation, after which armed Russians force them to dig trenches.
Earlier, intelligence reported that the occupiers had started the evacuation of Crimea and the peninsula would be de-occupied in the near future.
The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, stated that Ukraine will temporarily regain control of the occupied Crimea through a combined approach involving military force and diplomacy.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba, said that a diplomatic solution to the conflict could involve returning to Ukraine’s borders as they were in 2013.
The Minister of Defense, Oleksiy Reznikov, believes that Ukraine can regain control of Crimea without resorting to military conflict.
