The Armed Forces officially reported on the possible preparation by Russian invaders of provocations on the territory of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant in the near future. This was stated in a message from the Strategic Communications Department of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the operational information, today the occupants have placed ‘foreign objects resembling explosive devices’ on the external structures of the third and fourth power units of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.
The detonation of these objects should not damage the power units but may create a ‘scenario’ of shelling from the Ukrainian side, as stated in the message.
It is precisely regarding this issue that Russian propaganda media and Telegram channels are spreading disinformation, as noted by the Armed Forces.
The statement mentioned that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are monitoring and controlling the situation and are ready to act ‘under any circumstances.’
On June 22nd, President Zelensky, citing intelligence, stated that Russia is considering a terrorist attack on the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.
