Australia Announces Largest Aid Package to Ukraine in History

The Australian government has decided to provide $250 million in military aid to Ukraine, marking the country’s largest contribution since Russia’s full-scale invasion. Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Richard Marles announced this during the NATO summit in Washington, according to ABC News.

The aid package from Australia will include guided missiles, ammunition for air defense systems, anti-tank weapons, shells, and a batch of boots for the military.

According to the government, Australia’s total support for Ukraine now exceeds $1.3 billion, with $1.1 billion specifically allocated for military assistance.

“This is not the last package we are announcing. We will continue to support Ukraine for as long as it takes for Ukraine to resolve this conflict on its own terms,” stated Marles.
