Budanov forecasts a complete failure of the Russian army’s advance in early spring.
“Not yet. Closer to spring. Right now, I can tell you that the Russian offensive operation is ongoing,” said the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate.
Budanov emphasized that the new large-scale advance of the Russian occupation army began in November of last year and has been ongoing for two and a half months.
According to him, it is impossible to determine any significant results of this hostile advance.
However, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate acknowledged that Russian military criminals have achieved some success in advancing in the area of Avdiivka.
“But that’s not what they were counting on. They wanted to quickly reach the defensive line along the Black Stallion River in the Kharkiv region and reach the administrative borders of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. As you understand, this did not happen,” explained the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate.
He noted that the enemy’s advance is currently ongoing and is expected to be completely exhausted by early spring.
Budanov also added that when the enemy finishes making its move, it will be the turn of the Ukrainian military to engage in combat.
Can North Korea provide Russia with the necessary amount of weapons?
According to the head of Ukrainian military intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, the Russian occupation army in Ukraine currently does not feel a shortage of ammunition and weapons, but the situation may change if military support from North Korea is discontinued.
The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate emphasized that in Russia, the smuggling of components for various types of weapons is legislatively legalized.
According to him, this is why sanctions from Western partners of Ukraine could not put an end to these deliveries to the aggressor country.
At the same time, Budanov noted that the Russian occupation army currently experiences a shortage of artillery ammunition.
The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate explained that this concerns calibers of 152 and 122 mm.
Moreover, as Budanov points out, there is a deficit of missiles for the Hurricane, Tornado, and Grad multiple rocket launchers in Russia.
According to the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, during the visit to North Korea, the Kremlin dictator and war criminal Vladimir Putin will negotiate further cooperation in the field of missile development.
“Russia thinks it’s normal to transfer certain missile technologies to North Korea. North Korea will clearly use these technologies for many purposes. There is a serious human resource and defense capability – they are incomparable with the capabilities of the Russian Federation. They work more efficiently than Russians. Therefore, an increase in the supply of artillery weapons will definitely happen,” predicts Budanov.
In his estimation, the human and production resources enable North Korea to meet the needs of the aggressor country, Russia, in artillery weapons.
“There are many people in the factories. Unfortunately, North Korea can boast about this. They have enough people and enterprises. The weapons there are not modern, but the production volumes are significant. In fact, it’s weapons from the last century, but the projectile will come, with an error, but it will come. We have to acknowledge this,” emphasizes Budanov.
