Latvia has sent 271 vehicles confiscated for drunk driving to Ukraine. The total value of the confiscated vehicles is estimated at almost one million euros, according to Delfi.
According to the Latvian State Revenue Service, since the beginning of 2023, Ukraine has received 271 vehicles with a total preliminary value of 903,453 euros.
In addition, the government is considering documents for the transfer of another 34 vehicles to Ukraine, with a total value of 161,880 euros.
On March 7, 2023, the Latvian Seimas unanimously supported amendments to the law on supporting the civilian population of Ukraine, which created the basis for transferring confiscated vehicles from drunk drivers to Ukraine.
