The administration of US President Joe Biden has reacted to the statement made by the Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valeriy Zaluzhny, about the dead end on the front, stressing the necessity for continued support for Kyiv. White House representative John Kirby announced this during a briefing.
According to Kirby, Zaluzhny’s statements emphasize the importance of the continued support of Ukraine by the United States. ‘I can’t stand here today and tell you that this will result in a specific set of arms or new capability. We’re evolving and adapting what we’ve provided to Ukraine as the war evolves, and I suspect that process will continue,’ said Kirby.
He pointed out that it would be much easier for the White House to meet Ukraine’s needs if Congress approved additional aid for Kyiv. ‘It’s not just about Ukraine’s capabilities. This is a larger portion of this amount going to replenish reserves in the US — for our own reserves,” concluded the official.
