The Netherlands allocate more than 100 million euros for a new package of support to Ukraine. How will the money be used?

The Netherlands are allocating 102 million euros for a third package of support to Ukraine in 2023.

This is stated in a message from the Dutch government.

“The Netherlands are allocating 102 million euros for a third package of support to Ukraine in 2023. Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Liesje Schreinemacher reports this to the House of Representatives on behalf of the cabinet,” the message says.

60 million euros from these funds will be allocated to support Dutch companies that want to contribute to the reconstruction of Ukraine.This money is intended for insuring export credits to cover payment risks of investments and operations in the country.

Another 30 million will go towards the purchase of gas and the supply of components for the electrical grid.

The remaining 12 million euros are earmarked for supporting recently liberated territories.

The new package of support is based on an assessment of the needs of the Ukrainian government, the World Bank, and the European Commission.
