Budanov on strikes on Russian military factories: The goal is to slow down weapon production

One of the main objectives of Ukrainian drone strikes has been Russian military-industrial complex enterprises involved in missile production, said Kirill Budanov, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate. Such strikes on the military-industrial complex aim to slow down the production of Russian weaponry, he explained in an interview with New Voice.

Budanov noted that one-third of the factories involved in missile production are located in the European part of Russia.

Therefore, these plants are within reach of drones.

Budanov cited examples of recently attacked occupant enterprises: these are the Bryansk plant “Silicon El” and the Redkinsky research plant in the Tver region of Russia.

The first enterprise manufactures electronic equipment for missiles, which has been targeted by UAVs several times. The second one produces components of rocket fuel.

The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate stated that if you look at all the objects of those Russians ‘susceptible to some unknown influence,’ you can see one pattern: they all work for the Russian military-industrial complex.

“When we carry out certain actions against objects of the defense industry complex, our goal is only one: to slow down the production of Russian weapons,” Budanov clarified.
