Ukrainian soldiers are conducting a special operation in Crimea

Around 5 o’clock in the morning, explosions were heard near the settlement of Mayak on the Tarkhankut Cape. A battle took place there involving naval assets and aviation.

“Starting from 5 o’clock in the morning, explosions were heard near the settlement of Mayak on the Tarkhankut Cape, according to local sources. Furthermore, our sources in Ukrainian intelligence confirmed that a battle involving naval assets and aviation took place in this area. Details are yet to be clarified, as reported by journalists from ‘Crimea.Realities’.

As known, the base of the 3rd Radio-Technical Regiment, a part of the Radio-Technical Troops of the Russian Aerospace Forces, is located in Mayak. Additionally, on the Tarkhankut Peninsula, there is a radar node housing the Nebo-M radar complex and the Kasta-2E2 radar. Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, confirmed this information in a comment to Ukrainian Public Broadcasting.

“As part of the special operation, personnel were landed on the peninsula’s territory. The Main Intelligence Directorate in coordination with the Navy conducted a special operation, objectives were achieved, and there are no casualties among our personnel. The special operation is ongoing; we are not disclosing all the details. There are casualties among enemy personnel as well as among forces and equipment. Information regarding the number of casualties is being clarified,” he said.

In Crimea, a Russian S-400 air defense system was destroyed

As a reminder, on the morning of August 23, explosions were heard near the village of Olenivka on the Tarkhankut Cape. A Russian S-400 Triumph air defense system was destroyed there. In addition to the air defense system, missiles and personnel were also eliminated.
