On the Bahmut direction, Russian occupiers are fiercely resisting the Ukrainian Defense Forces, who are conducting an offensive and achieving success. This was stated by the Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Oleksandr Syrskyi, as reported by the Military Media Center.
“On the Bahmut direction, the situation is highly tense, but we are gradually moving forward and liberating our lands.
The enemy fiercely clings to every centimeter, conducting intense artillery and mortar fire,” stated Syrskyi.
The Commander of the Ground Forces emphasized that in these circumstances, it is crucial to make timely and situationally appropriate command decisions, and to take measures for maneuvering forces and resources, shifting units and divisions to the directions where success is evident, or withdrawing them from under the enemy’s fire.
“The counter-battery fight has now come to the forefront of our actions. To support our forces in the areas of Klyshchyivka, Kurdyumivka, and Andriivka, the enemy has concentrated a significant amount of artillery, and neutralizing it is one of the main tasks for our troops,” reported Syrskyi.
