The White House stated that the counteroffensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has not stopped; it continues, and the USA has no intention of discussing the military operation of the Ukrainian forces ‘while sitting on the couch’. This statement was made by John Kirby, the White House National Security Council coordinator for strategic communications, during a briefing.
They asked the White House representative if he doesn’t consider the counteroffensive in Ukraine to be progressing too slowly.
“President Zelensky himself stated that it’s not progressing as fast as he would like, and they’re not advancing as far every day as they would like. The United States does not intend to take a position on this matter. We are not going to discuss the Ukrainian military operation while sitting on the couch,” Kirby replied.
He added that only those who planned and executed the counteroffensive can truly evaluate it.
“However, they are moving. It’s not a halt. They are not frozen. The Ukrainians are advancing,” stated the White House representative.
He emphasized that the USA intends to ensure that the Ukrainian forces have all the necessary tools to continue their progress.
