Syrsky: The rebellion of Prigozhin did not affect the combat operations. I believe that the Wagner group’s story is over

Alexander Syrsky, Commander of the Ground Forces, believes that the story of the Wagner terrorist group will come to an end after the elimination of its leader, Yevgeny Prigozhin. He made this statement in an interview with ABC News.

According to him, Wagner left the front over a month ago, and therefore their ‘rebellion’ against the military leadership of Russia did not affect the combat operations.

“And how would it affect the events in Russia? If things got worse there, it would be better for us. I believe that the story of Wagner will come to an end,” said Syrsky.

On June 24, 2023, Prigozhin announced a ‘march’ on Moscow. Prior to this, he claimed that the headquarters of Wagner militants were allegedly shelled by Russian forces.

On the evening of the following day, Prigozhin reached an agreement with the Russian authorities and withdrew the militants. The press secretary of the Russian dictator, Peskov, stated that Prigozhin had traveled to Belarus and that the case against him had allegedly been closed.
