During his speech in the Verkhovna Rada, President Zelensky stated that it is time for NATO countries to stop being influenced by the Kremlin when making decisions.
“No one doubts anymore that Ukraine is capable of defending itself and its allies,” said the President during his speech in the Verkhovna Rada on the occasion of Constitution Day of Ukraine.
He emphasized that Ukraine’s accession to NATO “should send a strong signal to the world” and that NATO is “an alliance capable of defending and actually defends”.
“It is important for all of Ukraine’s NATO partners to stop looking towards the Kremlin when making their own important decisions,” said Zelensky.
He noted that even in Russia itself, they have stopped looking towards the weakened leader of the Kremlin, and for Western countries, it appears absurd to “look towards such an incapable leader of such an incapable state.”
In the same speech, Zelensky put forward for discussion the doctrine of our country and five key priorities that “the nation identifies as important.”
