The Australian government will provide Ukraine with a new package worth 110 million Australian dollars ($73.5 million), including 70 military armored vehicles for defense against Russian aggression.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced this, as reported by Reuters.
Taking into account the new commitments, Australia’s total assistance to Ukraine amounts to 790 million Australian dollars, including 610 million Australian dollars for military support.
The new military assistance package from Australia will include 28 M113 armored vehicles, 14 special-purpose vehicles, 28 medium trucks, and 14 trailers.
According to Albanese, to support Ukraine’s economy and trade, Australia will also extend duty-free access for goods imported from Ukraine for an additional 12 months.
