Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba, stated that the Russian missile strike on Kyiv on June 16th is a signal to the African leaders who came to the capital on a ‘peace mission.’ He wrote about this on Twitter.
According to him, the dictator Vladimir Putin is ‘building trust’ against the backdrop of the visit of African leaders to Kyiv with the largest missile strike in weeks.
“‘Russian missiles are a signal to Africa: Russia wants more war, not peace,’ Kuleba stated.
Today, the leaders of four African countries arrived in Kyiv: Cyril Ramaphosa (South Africa), Macky Sall (Senegal), Hakainde Hichilema (Zambia), and Azali Assoumani (Union of the Comoros).
The Reuters filming crew witnessed African leaders, who arrived in Kyiv, entering a hotel to take advantage of its bomb shelter during the Russian missile attack on the Ukrainian capital.
The heads of state began their visit with a trip to Bucha.
They are scheduled to meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky, and in the evening, the African leaders will head to Russia for a meeting with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
