On the daytime of May 29, the air defense forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 11 cruise and ballistic missiles over Kyiv and the surrounding region. This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhnyi.
“For the second time within 24 hours, the enemy launched a missile strike on the territory of Ukraine,” wrote Zaluzhnyi.
The Commander-in-Chief reported that at around 11:30, the Russians attacked Kyiv and the surrounding region with ballistic and cruise missiles from the ground-based Iskander missile system.
A total of 11 missiles were launched: ‘Iskander-M’ and ‘Iskander-K’ from the northern direction. All targets were destroyed by the forces and means of air defense,” wrote Zaluzhnyi.
During the night of May 29, Russian occupiers fired up to 40 X-101/X-555 missiles and 35 Shahed-136 kamikaze drones at Ukraine.
