The Russians have launched an information wave about the alleged disappearance of the Commander-in-Chief Valeriy Fedorovych Zaluzhnyi.

“The Commander-in-Chief is on site. He is doing his job. We just spoke,” wrote the Deputy Minister.. She noted that this is a typical information technology aimed at demoralizing our military, which is of very short duration – ranging from a few hours to a day – as the information is easily verifiable. The expected effect depends on the precise timing of dissemination and its mass scale.
“At the moment, the timing of dissemination is clear – the peak of tension in Bachmut, when even a few demoralized soldiers from our side would alleviate their situation. In fact, that’s why there have been numerous premature reports about the ‘capture’ of Bachmut,” explained Hanna Maliar.
The situation in Bachmut
For over ten months, Russian occupiers have been attempting to capture Bachmut in Donetsk region, but Ukrainian military forces are valiantly resisting. Today, the founder of the Wagner Private Military Company, Yevgeny Prigozhin, claimed that his mercenaries supposedly have full control over the city.
However, the Ukrainian side refutes such a scenario. In particular, the spokesperson for the Eastern Operational Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Serhiy Cherevatyy, called Prigozhin’s claims a falsehood, stating that Ukrainian units are still engaged in combat in Bachmut.
At the same time, there has been information in the media that the founder of the Russian private military company “Wagner” acknowledged that the mercenaries are unable to encircle the units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in Bachmut due to the loss of stable flanks to the north and south of the city. He also accused the Russian Ministry of Defense of losing advantageous positions.
