Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Oleksiy Danilov, stated that covert mobilization in Russia has not yielded the desired results. Any decision made by the Russian leadership worsens their position, he wrote on Twitter.
Danilov noted that in Russia, the second wave of covert mobilization is ongoing, including ‘forced contract signing, formation of so-called national battalions, and promotion of the Russian Ministry of Murder.
In his opinion, the goals set by the Kremlin have not been achieved, so the leadership of Russia must choose between ‘declaring mobilization and facing internal discontent.'”
Danilov emphasized that in such a situation, any decision will have a negative consequence for the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
“The trend is irreversible – any move by Putin worsens his position,” wrote the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.
On May 12, 2023, Danilov stated that Ukraine allegedly plans to end the war by winter, and there may be several counteroffensives for this.
